We have created content and collaborated with domestic violence organisations. A Scribbled Memory, our award winning animation, was one of the outcomes of our work.
One of our projects was organising a free public seminar, I’m Fine, at The Electric, Birmingham. This was to raise awareness for domestic abuse in the South Asian community.
We worked with ITV News Central to create this broadcast segment.
There are calls for more to be done to help thousands of people suffering in silence from domestic abuse across the West Midlands. Figures released today suggest 25 thousand women were helped in Birmingham last year alone, but only 1 in 3 contacted police.
With connections to domestic abuse campaigns and organisations, Bhulla has voluntarily organised a workshop for the Deaf community on domestic abuse. The workshop welcomed Deaf Hope and the West Midlands Police to present.
With a connection to the Deaf community, Bhulla organised a talk at Haven Wolverhampton with a Deaf person sharing their story. He has also presented at a Birmingham Women’s group.
